Linda R. Leahy

Linda R. (Hinkle) Leahy, age 66, of Metamora, Ohio, passed away peacefully from this life, with her loving family at her bedside, Saturday, morning, March 14, 2015, at the Ebeid Hospice Residence in Sylvania, Ohio, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born July 20, 1948 in Adrian, Michigan to the late Lloyd and Gladys Hinkle of Lyons, Ohio. Linda graduated from Lyons High School in 1966.

Early in life, Linda moved into many different areas of employment. She went from the factory work, to banking, to even owning her own business, before she eventually obtained the career of her choice. As a student at Northwest State Community College in Archbold, Ohio, she graduated in 1998 as a registered nurse. Until her retirement, she worked in the Geriatric field at several area nursing homes.

Linda is survived by her loving sons, Michael and Chad (Leonie); granddaughter, Marinda Spicer (John Mourer), Taylor Leahy, Samantha Leahy and Liam and Jeremy Leahy; great grandchildren, Remmie and Kinzie; sister, Sandy (Terry) Stites; brother, Gary (Melanie) Hinkle; and dear friend, John Hall.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Jeremy Leahy.

Family and friends may visit Tuesday, March 17th from 2 to 8 pm at the Weigel Funeral Home in Metamora. Services celebrating her life will be held Wednesday, March 18th at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home, with Rev. Laura Saunders officiating.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to be used according to their wishes.

Funeral Service: Wednesday, March 18th at 11:00 am in the Funeral Home
