Lorna Lynn Snyder

Lorna Lynn (Miller) Snyder, age 68, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family, Tuesday morning, April 20, 2021.  She was born February 20, 1953 in Toledo, Ohio to Richard and Rose Marie (Wooley) Miller.  Lorna was a graduate of Rogers High School, Class of '71, and obtained her Bachelors Degree in Geology from The University of Toledo. On June 15, 1980, she married Teddy Ray Snyder.

Lorna started out her career at the University of Toledo teaching in the Geology Department.  She went on and started working for Bowser-Morner, Inc. as a secretary, and quickly moved herself up working in the Geotechnical field.  At the age of 50, Lorna obtained her Masters Degree in Geology. She continued working until she was diagnosed with cancer. Lorna was a member of the Toledo Rock Hounds.  She enjoyed traveling and collecting rocks from all over the country.  No matter where Lorna was, she was always collecting rocks.  Lorna also loved bargain hunting at yard sales and going out on garage sale extravaganzas. But most of all, Lorna loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

Lorna is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Teddy; daughters, Ginger (Jon) Hunt, Michelle (Berry) Roussel and Amy Weaver, 6 grandkids; 4 great-grandkids; her sister, Marcie (David) Fleischman and brother, Dennis Miller.

Lorna was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 24th from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, where services celebrating Lorna's life will begin at 2:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

I met Lorna at McTigue Jr. High. I always admired her intelligence. She was my go to person when I needed help with Algebra problems. She was a kind & caring friend.
My deepest sympathy to Lorna's family. Healing prayers to carry on without her physically, but with all of the priceless memories you each have of her.
Love & hugs, Barb Frey

My Aunt Lorna was a wonderful aunt. She loved us unconditionally. Us five girl cousins had a childhood full of adventure together, and she was always there to help make a costume, or kiss a boo boo, or make us a picnic in their giant backyard. I will miss her
