Mark Richard "Rudy" Biehl, age 63, of Metamora, Ohio, passed away Thursday morning, September 14, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospital in Maumee. He was born April 4, 1954 in Toledo, Ohio to Richard S. and Amelia M. "Sis" (Lovejoy) Biehl. He was raised with his brother, David, in the funeral home in Swanton owned and operated by his parents, and was a 1972 graduate of Swanton High School, where he wrestled and played football.
After graduation, Mark worked as a forklift mechanic for a short time. He was hired by Louie Boeck and worked construction for 10 years. Since the early 80's, Mark has managed the family farm in Metamora until his health declined.
Mark was a Cleveland Brown fan and was a member of the local pool league for a number years.
He is survived by his brother, David J. (Janice) Biehl of Swanton; friend, Chris (Kay) Heline; nieces, Sarah Biehl (Michael) Kramer, Deborah (Adam) Covault, and Jennifer (Rich) Abraham; 5 great-nieces and 2 great-nephews.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends may visit Sunday, September 17th from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, where a funeral service will begin at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Donna Stutzman officiating.
Graveside services will be held Monday, September 18th at 10:00 a.m. at the Swanton Cemetery - Centerville Road.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
