Mark A. McDowell

Mark A. McDowell, age 62, of Grand Rapids, Ohio, passed away peacefully at UTMC on Sunday, September 15, 2024, surrounded by his loving wife and family. 

Mark was born January 26, 1962 in Toledo, Ohio to Carl and Alice (Puhler) McDowell. He graduated from Swanton High School in 1980, and worked at various places as a mechanic.

Mark is survived by his devoted wife of 21 years, Sondra; father, Carl, sisters, Veronica, Mary Ann and Teresa; brother, Matt; stepchildren, Wes and Brandon (Miriam); step-grandchildren, Harper and Harris; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mark was preceded in death by his mom, Alice.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 19th from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, where services will begin at 6:00 pm, with Fr. Eric Culler presiding.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
