Martha Ann Emerson

Martha Ann Emerson, age 79, of Metamora, Ohio, passed away in her home, surrounded by her family, Thursday evening, August 20, 2020.  She was born November 22, 1940 in Amboy Township to Raymond and Ruth (Cleghorn) Mossing.  Martha was a graduate of Metamora High School and married Charles B. Emerson.

Martha worked as a data entry computer operator for Doehler Jarvis.  She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, gardening, cooking, collecting rocks, knitting and crocheting doilies.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her kids and grandkids, whom she dearly loved.

Martha will be greatly missed by her children, Rosalind Shaffer, Jennifer Emerson and Robert Emerson; grandchildren, Kristina Shaffer, Hollis Shaffer, Michelle Detwiler, James Detwiler, Lindsay Detwiler, Ashley Shaffer, Michael Leu, Christopher Perry; several great-grandchildren and sister, Janice Serna.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Ruth Mossing; husband, Charles; daughter, Laurie Ann Emerson; son, Charles Doyle Emerson and sister, Mary Lou Robertson.

Private graveside services will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery in Assumption.
