Martha M. Waterbury

Martha M. Waterbury, age 94, of Metamora, Ohio, passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside, Friday afternoon, August 4, 2017 at Kingston Care Center in Sylvania. She was born July 27, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan to John and Mary (Pavkovic) Durjan. On July 27, 1974 she married Harold N. Waterbury. He preceded her in death on May 5, 2017.

Martha was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church Metamora. She enjoyed gardening and canning, working puzzles and making arts and crafts.

Martha is survived by her sons, Walter (Kathy) Demusky of Riga, MI and David (Carol) Demusky of Sylvania, OH; daughter, Kathryn Walker of Adrian, MI; daughter-in-law, Marcia Demusky; grandchildren, Kipp Demusky of Traverse City, MI, Doug De Goff of Sylvania, OH and Dawn (Chad) Bernard of Riga, MI; great-granddaughter, Julia; stepchildren, Judith Ann MacBeth of Riga, MI and Ellen (John) Vershum of Metamora, OH; sister, Margaret Wheeler of Wauseon, OH; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her beloved husband of 43 years, Harold, Martha was preceded in death by her parents; children, Joseph John Demusky, Irene Sue Lanning, and Peter Steve Demusky; son-in-law, William Walker; brothers, John, August, Sam and Martin; sisters, Anna Struhar, Betty Marsh, Helen Hart, Pauline Coleman and Kathryn Miller.

Services will be private. Interment will take place at a later date at Zion Cemetery.
