Mary Lou Robertson

Mary Lou Robertson, age 78, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Flower Hospital on Wednesday morning, January 11, 2017. Mary Lou was born on March 15, 1938 in Caragher (Assumption) to the late Raymond and Ruth (Cleghorn) Mossing. She married Alton Robertson on October 10, 1958.

Mary Lou was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Assumption, where she was on the Altar-Rosary Society and helped plan funeral dinners with her husband for several years. She served as a Boy Scout leader and a 4-H advisor and was a member the CWV Auxiliary. Mary Lou was a lifelong babysitter and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed baking and cooking and was always trying new recipes. Mary Lou also enjoyed playing cards and Scrabble, canning, gardening, and doing crafts. She was a nature lover and loved being outside.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Alton; children, Steve (Sue) Robertson, Cindy Robertson, Russell (Jeanne) Robertson, Lynette (Brian) Williamson, Chris (Allison) Robertson, Eric Robertson; grandchildren, Corey, Paige (Tyler), Courtney, Lucia, Alton, Morgan, Byron, Mollee, LeighAnn, Brock, Colton, Luke, and Jack; great-grandchildren, Winston and Kennedi; sisters, Martha Emerson and Janice (Bill) Serna.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 13th from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Metamora, where a Vigil service will begin at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Resurrection will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 14th at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Assumption with Father Michael Dandurand presiding. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Mass of Resurrection: Saturday, January 14th at 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Assumption
