Melinda Marie (Johnston) Hodges

Melinda Marie (Johnston) Hodges, age 61, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home, Monday afternoon, February 6, 2023, following a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis.  Melinda was born April 23, 1961 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Dale and Pauline (Barnes) Johnston.  She married her love, William Hodges and they had a beautiful daughter. He preceded her in death.  She is survived by her beloved daughter, Kristin (Doug) Pohlman, and husband, Kevin Keller.

Melinda worked several jobs throughout her lifetime, but her passion was music, traveling and above all, being a mother. Before her illness prevented it, Melinda traveled the world.  She will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family and the Beatles. She enjoyed meeting musicians at the recording studio she co-owned, Strawberry Fields.  In her later years, Melinda enjoyed birdwatching, gardening, and spending time with her beloved family and friends.  

Visitation will be held Friday, February 10th from 3 to 8 pm at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 11th at 11:00 am in the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Swanton Cemetery.
