Michael Robert Crooks

Michael Robert Crooks, age 72, of Metamora, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 5th, 2022, at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania, Ohio. Michael was born June 15th, 1950, in Toledo, Ohio to Robert and Margaret (Almandinger) Crooks. Michael worked for The Anderson's for over 30 years. He graduated from Evergreen High School in 1968, and earned a bachelors degree in business from the University of Toledo in 1972.

Michael enjoyed golfing and bowling, as well as watching soccer and football. Most of all, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

Left to cherish Michael's memory are his sons, Brian Crooks and Brad (Lisa) Crooks; daughter, Amanda (David Hubbard Jr.) Crooks; brothers, Matt (Dolores) Crooks, Jim (Mary) Crooks and John Crooks; sister, Mary Ann (Lee) Smalley; grandchildren Isiah Crooks, Noah Harris, Kyiah Varney (Ashton), Jade Hubbard, Chloe Crooks, Paisyn and Phoenix Hubbard. 

Michael was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Mark Crooks; and grandson, Ethan Crooks. 

Family and friends may visit Friday, December 9th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Metamora, with funeral services following at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cherry Street Mission.
