Mildred C. "Pinky" Oberheim, age 74, of Swanton, Ohio, entered into eternal life, Thursday morning, October 8, 2015 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania. She was born October 21, 1940 in Queens, New York to the late Albert and Mildred I. (Byrne) Amy. On September 7, 1963, she married Joseph W. Oberheim. Prior to moving to Swanton, Pinky worked as a receptionist for J. Walter Thompson Advertising in New York. She was also a professional ball room dancer and a June Taylor Dancer, opening for The Jackie Gleason Show. Later, she worked for the Swanton Pharmacy and as a TSA agent at The Toledo Express Airport.
Pinky was a devoted member of St. Richard Catholic Parish. She was an animal lover, who enjoyed gardening and following her friends and family on Facebook. Most of all, Pinky loved attending her grandchildren's band, choir, and sporting events.
Pinky will be greatly missed by her beloved husband of 52 years, Joseph; daughter, Jennifer (late Daniel) Woods; sons, Joseph S. (Amy) Oberheim and Todd (Kristina) Oberheim; grandchildren, Holly (Travis), Danny, Mackenzie (Robert), Jo Jo, Abigail, Nicholas, Katherine, Lucas, Josh, Crew, and Reese; great-grandchildren, Skyler, Sidney and Isla; brother-in-law, Edward Oberheim; and four-legged companion, Wilbur.
Family and friends may visit Sunday, October 11th from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, where a Vigil Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday, October 12th from10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Richard Catholic Church, where a Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Adam Hertzfeld presiding and Deacon Jerry Ziemkiewicz assisting.
Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society or Fulton County Humane Society.
