Nola M. Wilder, affectionately known by her grandchildren as "GG", age 94, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her daughter's home, Tuesday evening, January 10, 2017. She was born November 19, 1922 to William and Esther (Glore) Double. She married Otto "Dick" Wilder of Morenci, Michigan, and he preceded her in death on December 2, 1994. Nola was a homemaker raising their only daughter, Ina M. Wilder.
Nola spent her life sewing and crocheting. She loved to cook and share what she made with her neighbors. Her neighbors were very special to her.
Nola is survived by her daughter, Ina M. Wilder, grandson, Blake Richard Gladieux; granddaughter, Payton Marie Gladieux and granddaughter-in-law, Melanie Gladieux.
Besides her husband, Nola was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Kevin Michael Gladieux, and sisters, Wilma Esterline, Bernice Ladd and Viola Shipman.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 12th from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 13th at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Donna Stutzman officiating. Interment will follow at Swanton Cemetery.
