Norma Jean Schuch

Norma Jean Schuch, age 87 and life-long resident of Lyons, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Sunday morning, March 26, 2017 at the Fulton Manor in Wauseon. She was born May 28, 1929 in Lyons, Ohio to Morris and Gladys (Elliot) Meeker. Norma married Charles Schuch, her husband of 64 years, until his passing on September 29, 2013.

Norma was a devoted life member of the Lyons Christian Church, where she served many roles, which included Sunday School Teacher, CWF, bible study leader and singing in the church choir.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Surviving to cherish her memory are her son; Douglas (Pam) Schuch of Wauseon, OH, daughters, Linda (Richard “Sam”) Gleckler of Lyons, OH and Patty Staples of Bellevue, OH; brother, Paul (Peggy) Meeker; sister-in-law, Mary Meeker; grandchildren, Brett and Shannon Gleckler, Branden Gleckler (Jodi), Lyndsay Staples (Martin), Ben and Brittany Staples, Tyler and Brittany Schuch and Adam Schuch; great-grandchildren, Sydney and Nathan Gleckler, Bradley Betschman, and Emma and Calvin Staples.

Besides her husband, Charles, Norma was preceded in death by her parents Morris and Gladys and brother, Ralph Meeker.

The family will receive family and friends on Friday, March 31st from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. (Noon) at the Lyons Christian Church, 138 E. Morenci St., Lyons, Ohio 43533, where funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. (Noon), with Pastor Paul Bomeli. Interment at Lyons Cemetery will be private.
