Norman Dean Lapham, age 89, of Neapolis, Ohio, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital in Maumee. He was born December 29, 1928 in Elkhart, Indiana to Jessie Leona (Amspaugh) and Charles Francis Lapham. Norman owned Lapham Construction and was known for his finished carpentry work.
Norman enjoyed playing cards with his friends at Adams Conservation Club where he was member. He also enjoyed spending his morning's catching up and discussing the latest news with his Waterville McDonald's Group. Norman was also a gun collector and enjoyed Trap & Skeet shooting.
He is survived by his daughters, Sharon Meeker and Cynthia (Fred) Schneider; stepdaughter, Sherry (Tim) Buckenmeyer and stepson, Greg Thomas; 6 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; as well as his brother, Max Lapham.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Virginia; stepdaughter, Rebecca Holmes and brother, Richard Lapham.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 11th from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 204 Chestnut St. in Swanton (419.826.2631), where funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
