Orren Lee McClaflin, born August 26, 1967, in Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family, Thursday evening, April 24, 2025. He leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and hard work that will be cherished by all who knew him.
Orren dedicated much of his life to the construction trade, building houses that would become homes for countless families. His skilled hands and keen eye for detail were further evident during his 27 years as a welding fabricator for Williams Industrial Services in Bowling Green, Ohio. Orren's industrious spirit was matched only by his passion for life.
A graduate of North Knox High School in Bicknell, Indiana, Orren's personality was characterized by a vibrant energy—always busy doing something, never standing idle. He found joy in many pursuits, including restoring classic cars, which became a beloved hobby that showcased his meticulous nature and appreciation for craftsmanship.
Music played a significant role in Orren’s life. As a talented musician, he loved writing songs, singing, and playing his guitar. His passion for music was an extension of his expressive spirit and brought him immense joy, contributing to memorable moments with friends and family.
Orren was also an avid motorcycle enthusiast, particularly fond of riding his Harley Davidson and Triumph motorcycles. The open road and the thrill of the ride brought him happiness.
He is survived by his beloved daughters, Keisha McClaflin and Kaela (Jason) Holt; his grandchildren—Kona, Ava, Dalani, Bella, Tonisha, Sieara, and Julian; his brothers, Doug (Kathy) McClaflin and Steve (Jackie) McClaflin, his stepmother, Janie McClaflin, as well as his extended family who will miss him dearly, including nieces and nephews, Jessica (Michael), Michael (Sheryl), Jeffery, Destine (Jenna), Lauren (Luke), Lindsey (Mason), Bobby (Katie), Cindy (Jeff) and Justin, along with many great-nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Gloria (Smith) McClaflin, who he has now reunited with in peace.
In keeping with Orren's wishes, he will be cremated and a private gathering will be held at a later date.
