Richard Edward Roznowski

Richard Edward Roznowski, age 82, of Swanton, Ohio, entered into eternal life, early Wednesday morning, December 28, 2016 in his home. Richard was born April 25, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to Edward S. and Mildred Emily (Suchy) Roznowski. He married his beloved wife, Cecilia Ann Schroeder on September 6, 1958 and together raised four wonderful children.

Richard was a longtime member of St. Richard Catholic Parish and the Knights of Columbus. He worked as a gauge grinder at the Dana Corporation for 35 years. After he retired from Dana in 1998, he worked the next 12 years at Cleveland Plant and Flower. Richard was a boating enthusiast for over 40 years and member of the Ottawa River Yacht Club. He was also an avid golfer and bowler, and at the age of 69 bowled his first 300 game.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 58 years, Cecelia; children, Denise (David) Lumbrezer, James (Sue) Roznowski, Jennifer (Mark) Fauble and Lisa (David) Evans; grandchildren, Jason, Daniel, Ryan, Katelyn, Lucas, Michaela, Jill and Michael, Casey and Dan; 6 great-grandchildren with another on the way; and brother, David (Sue) Roznowski.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends may visit Friday, December 30th from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, where a Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday, December 31st from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at St. Richard Catholic Church, where a Mass of Resurrection will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Richard's Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Richard Catholic Church or Heartland Hospice.

Mass of Resurrection: Saturday, December 31st at 10:00 am at St. Richard Catholic Church

Interment: St. Richard's Cemetery

My sincere condolences to the Roznowski family. I worked at Dana and was well aquainted with Dick. He was one of the best guys to work with always willing to do what had to be done to get things back in running order. I am proud to have known him.

Cecilia and Lisa: My sincere condolences for the loss of Richard. He was a sincere, gentle man to care for all these years and will be missed. I remember him telling me the story of his 300 bowling score! He was very proud!

Condolences to the family, Richard was my good friend and I will greatly miss him. He was a very good person and fun to work with, fish with, and golf with. I will always cherish the memories of him. He was a genuine real person that never spoke bad of others. They don't come much better than Richard. God bless his soul !
