Graveside Services: Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 11:00 am at Swanton Cemetery on Centerville Road
Richard A. Shadle, age 86, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at Regency Hospital in Sylvania, Ohio. He was born May 7, 1927 in Bryan, Ohio to the late Leroy and Mary (Reichardt) Shadle. Richard served as a Corporal in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Verda Seibold. She preceded him in death on October 15, 2002.
Richard was a truck driver for ABF. He is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as his special companion, Joan White.
Besides his wife, Verda, Richard was preceded in death by his brothers, Ivan and Robert; and sisters, Rozella, June and Donna.
Graveside services, with Military Rites, will be held Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Swanton Cemetery on Centerville Road. Rev. Ed Strietelmeier will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
