Rita Mae Swick, age 85, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away Monday evening, January 14, 2008 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. She was born April 18, 1922 in Vinton, Ohio to Hosea and Forrest (Russel) Brandum. She worked as a Psychiatric Aide at the Toledo Mental Health Center until her retirement.

Rita was a faithful member of the Delta Assembly of God and enjoyed quilting, working puzzles and playing Bingo.

She is survived by her son, Garry Michael (Connie) Swick of Swanton, OH; daughter, Debra (Keith) Evans of Cocoa, FL; daughters-in-law, LuAnn Swick of Swanton, OH and Sharon Swick of Delta, OH; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and sister, Edna Swick of Bidwell, OH.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Robert Swick and Donald Larry Swick; infant daughter, Patsy; 1 sister and 2 brothers.

Friends and family may visit Friday, January 18th from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton (419-826-2631). Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 19th at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Randy Trowbridge officiating. Interment will follow at East Swanton Cemetery.
