It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Boehm, a proud member of the Swanton, Ohio community, passed away on November 29, 2024, at the age of 87 at his home. He was born January 16, 1937 and was the third child to Fred and Gladys (Radabaugh) Boehm.
Survived by his son Terry, a daughter Kelly, two grandchildren Kolby and Sara, two great-grandchildren Kamri and Mason and a sister Marilyn. Preceded in death by two brothers William and Donald, a sister Deedee and his special friend Martha (Marty).
Bob, known for his sense of humor and unique mechanical ability would often fix things for family and friends, and enjoyed his well-drilling business with his brother Bill for many years.
Robert also had a distinguished career at Jeep Corporation in Toledo, where he worked for over 35 years. His dedication and hard work were recognized by his peers and the local United Auto Workers (UAW), who appointed him as the benefits representative. In this role, Robert tirelessly advocated for the rights and well-being of his colleagues, earning their respect and admiration.
Robert served his country with honor in the United States Army, stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
He had a passion for his pond with the frogs and fish that brought joy to both him and those around him. In his younger days, he loved traveling to exotic places and enjoyed the casinos.
His family would like to give a special thanks to his two nephews Fred and Keith who helped him tremendously during his last years.
