Robert Wayne Navarre

Robert Wayne Navarre, age 75, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at his home, Saturday, December 14, 2024. He was born March 1, 1949 in Toledo, Ohio to Joseph D. and Eleanor H. (Butler) Navarre. Bob was a 1968 graduate of Swanton High School. On October 11, 1969 he married the love of his life, Virginia "Ginny" Mapes.

Robert worked as a painter for 35 years for local 7, retiring in 2004. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed square dancing with his lovely bride, Ginny. Bob tinkered with his 67' Mustang over many years as a hobby. Most of all, he loved his family, especially watching his grandsons at all their sporting events.

Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Ginny; daughter, Jennifer (Jason) Lutze; son, Steven (Erin) Navarre; sister, Janet (Keith) Newton; grandsons, Tyler Barnhiser, Seth Navarre, Lucas Navarre and Ryan Navarre; great-grandsons, Travis and Haskell Barnhiser.

Bob was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph Navarre and Ricky Navarre.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 20th from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, Ohio where funeral services will begin at 7:00 p.m. A celebration of life and luncheon will be held Saturday, December 21st from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Swanton American Legion Post #479.
