Robert Muryl Zinn

Robert “Bob” Zinn of Toledo, aged 92, passed away Wednesday, April 30th, 2025. A cherished husband, father, brother, grandfather, and dog dad, he was born in 1933 to Roy and Geneivia (Boyer) Zinn. He married the love of his life, Mary Lovana Ford, in LaFollette, Tennessee in 1962 and was married just shy of 63 years.

He lived a life full of love, enjoying every thing he encountered. Some of his favorite things were coffee, Sugar Daddy candies, gardening, his motorhome, campfires, and trips to Renfro Valley, Kentucky. Spending his time with his grandkids was his absolute favorite and his most cherished title was “Papa”. He loved family dinner nights at Cracker Barrel, and he made sure to go on a hunt for a Sugar Daddy candy on his way out every time.

In the final few years of his wonderful life, he began to learn how to cook with the guidance of Luv, starting with her spaghetti recipe and then creating his own recipes. But his favorite meals were those his wife made; nobody’s cooking ever came close.

Bob will be forever missed. He is survived by his wife Lovana, his two children Carol Sue (David) Oz and Charlie (Tiffany) Zinn, his sister Peaches Zinn, and his seven grandchildren Vanessa, Melissa, Eric, Stephen, Valerie, Matthew, and Megan.
