Roberta Ball

Roberta Ball, age 87, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Saturday evening, June 16, 2018 at Swanton Health Care and Retirement Center.  She was born October 10, 1930 in St. Francisville, Illinois to Perna (Brashear) and Lawrence Griesemer.  On January 30, 1948, she married her loving husband George H. Ball.  He preceded her in death on May 10, 2011. 

Roberta attended the Swanton Nazarene Church.  She loved her cocker spaniel's and later in life enjoyed adult coloring, playing BINGO and collecting carousels.  Roberta devoted her time taking care of her family whom she adored-waiting on them hand and foot.  She was known as a short order cook and always had a meal prepared when anyone walked through the door. 

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Brenda (Chuck) Wymer of Swanton, OH; son, George David (Vicki) Ball of Swanton, OH; grandchildren, Craig (Jennifer) Wymer, Heidi (Tom) Walters, Tracy (Todd) Cramer, Lisa Renee (Mario) Dominguez and Jeffery (Nicky) Ball; great-grandchildren, Raymond, Chloe, Maximus, Lilliana, Lyza, Judah, Josiah, Luke, Levi, Dreyden, Eden, Bailey, Ryan, Tim, Reid, Madison, Sam, Joe and Emma; 4 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Betty (Cleo) Rau; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, George, Roberta was preceded in death by her parents; great-granddaughter, Allie and brother, Gerald Griesemer.

Family and friends may visit Wednesday, June 20th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton (419.826.2631).  Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 21st at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Harold Ratliff officiating. Interment will follow at Swanton Cemetery.
