Roger M. Hight, Sr.

Roger M. Hight, Sr., age 69, formerly of Neapolis, Ohio, passed away at his home in Van Buren, Ohio on Wednesday, January 24, 2018. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 27, 1948 to Garford (Skip) and Martha (Morlock) Hight. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran. On August 14, 1982 he married Pamela Vaughan.

Roger worked at the American Legion Department of Ohio as the Adjutant. He was a lifetime member of Post # 232 American Legion and was also a member of the Elks Lodge #83 , Anvitus, the Buckeye State Sheriff's Association and Moose Lodge #1093.

Besides his loving wife, Pamela, Roger is survived by his son, Roger, Jr. (Heather) Hight; daughters, Jaynee (Devin) Bramel and Lesa (Andy) Howard; and grandchildren Brianna, Katie, Roger III, Wesley, Evelyn and Mia.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends will be received at Weigel Funeral Home, 204 Chestnut St. Swanton, Ohio 43558 (419.826.2631)  on  Sunday, January 28, 2018    from 3-7 p.m. with an American Legion Service at 7 p.m.  Funeral Services will be held on Monday January 29th in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Donna Stutzman officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with military honors.
