Ronald Edward Barlow, age 74, of Mims, Florida and Swanton, Ohio, passed away Tuesday evening, March 24, 2026, at Vitas Healthcare Inpatient Hospice in Orlando, Florida, with family at his bedside. Ron was born on August 28, 1951, in Toledo, Ohio to Clarence Edward and Marie (Rogers) Barlow.
A 1970 graduate of Evergreen High School, Ron embarked on a career as a mason, dedicating twenty years to Tri County Block and Brick where he established a reputation for skill and reliability. After moving to South Florida he continued working as a mason and foreman on projects from Jupiter to Miami. After retirement he moved to Central Florida to be closer to family. Ron was always renovating and improving his homes in Ohio and Florida even after retirement.
Ron was a man who loved adventure. He cherished traveling and had a passion for riding motorcycles, which brought him great joy and a sense of freedom. A huge Walt Disney World fan, he found delight and inspiration in the magic and imagination that Disney has to offer.
Above all, Ronald took immense pride in being a grandfather, a role that brought him happiness and fulfillment. His family was the center of his world.
He is survived by his sons, Samuel (Carrie) Barlow and Joe Barlow; his daughter, Jennifer (Anthony) Bernal; and his dear grandchildren, Brittnay (Jehu) Fierros, Anthony Barlow, Andrew Barlow, Elizabeth Barlow, Arielle Bernal and Alexis Bernal. Ron's legacy also lives on in his three great-grandchildren, Esau, Emma, and Ezra; his sisters, Pat (Terry) Shidler and Nancy (Norm) Self, his brother Gary Barlow, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Marie Barlow, and his brother, Kenny Barlow.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 2nd from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton. Funeral services will be Friday, April 3rd at 11:00 am in the funeral home, with Pastor Jerry Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Dutch Ridge Cemetery.
