Ronald L. Beals, Sr

Ronald Lee Beals, Sr., age 71, of Metamora, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday evening, October 19, 2011, in the emergency room at Flower Hospital. He was born April 16, 1940 in Bryan, Ohio to Robert and Lois (Stuller) Beals. He married Carolyn Leonard, and they shared 33 wonderful years together until her death on December 23, 2007.

Ronald enjoyed car collecting, especially corvettes. In the 60’s, he and his brothers were into drag racing competitions. He was a hard working man in the construction field and enjoyed yard work. But most of all, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Ronald Lee Beals, Jr. (Tracy Bloodworth), Tammy (James) Stark, Candy (Derek) Dake, Michael (Kathy) Wheeler, and Lori (Robert) Coates; grandchildren, Jessica Beals, Austin, Kilee, Derek, Jr., Carol, Briana, Sara, Kara, Savana, Ashley, Mike, and Josh; sister, Judy (Cord) Brewer, and brother James Beals.

Besides his wife, Carolyn, Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Reginald Beals.

Family and friends may gather Tuesday, October 25th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 413 E. Main St. in Metamora (419.644.3601), where a memorial service will be held at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Donna Stutzman officiating.
