Sandra Jayne (Norris) Patterson, age 60, of Wauseon, Ohio, passed away Friday evening, October 14, 2016 in the Emergency Room at the Fulton County Health Center. She was born March 14, 1956 in Toledo, Ohio to Marion and Mildred (O'Brien) Norris. Sandra was a 1976 graduate of DeVilbiss High School. She loved her job as a dietary aide for Filling Homes in Napoleon where she worked the past 6 years.
Sandra's disability never held her back. She attended deaf and speech classes in Toledo and lived her life very independently. Her assistance dogs were like her kids, and people enjoyed being around her. Sandra enjoyed sewing and making crafts and spending time with her family and friends.
She will be greatly missed by her mother, Mildred Norris of Swanton, OH; her siblings, Janice Little of Wauseon, OH, Roger (Beth) Norris of Bowling Green, OH, Bev Hollingsworth of Wauseon, OH, Patti Wegener of Swanton, Ohio, Martha (Karl) Weitzel of Swanton, OH, several nieces and nephews and Sandra's life partner, Andy Daniel of Wauseon, OH.
Sandra was preceded in death by her father, Marion; brother, James Leroy Norris and nephews, Allan Wegener and Bruce Harding and niece, Brianne Zuver.
Family and friends may visit Tuesday, October 18th from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 204 Chestnut St. in Swanton (419.826.2631). Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 19th at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor J.T. Bean officiating. Interment will follow at Swanton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Visitation: Tuesday, October 18th from 2 to 8 pm at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton
Funeral Service: Wednesday, October 19th at 11:00 am in the Funeral Home
Interment: Swanton Cemetery
my thoughts and prayers go to the family. I have had a great opportunity to work with Sandra the last 6 years.She was a very very special person. I learned a lot from her. She made me a better person in so many ways. She was a hard worker, responsible, reliable,fun,very observant, willing to try new things ,and this is only a few. She was much more. She was special to me and I am glad to have known her.God's peace

Millie and family, I am sorry for your loss. Sandra was a wonderful woman and full of life. I know her since McKinley days and in PHEA- teens, I remembered you, Millie. You were activated in PHEA- teens. I last saw Sandra at the DeVilbiss High school reunion. She was very happy and excited to meet all her old friends. I am glad to be one of her old friend.
