Shirley Jean Dunlap-Kinzie

March 20, 1927 — October 4, 2016

Shirley Jean Dunlap Kinzie passed away Tuesday, October 4,2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Frank and Della Zak on March 20,1927 in Wellsville, Ohio.

Shirley attended Grace United Methodist Church in Perrysburg, Ohio. She was a past member of Sweet Adelines of Ashland, Ohio and member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 88 in Ashland, Ohio.

She married George W. Kinzie in 1985 after meeting at Jim Gagnon's Dinner Dance Club. He preceded her in death in January of 2016.

Also preceding her in death was her first husband, Arthur A. Dunlap, whom she married in 1946; her parents, Frank and Della Zak; siblings, David Zak, Phyllis King, Donna Pinto, Ina Marcum and grandson, Staff Seargent Bradley C. Hart.

Surviving is brother, John (Shirley) Zak; sister-in-law, Tillie Zak; children, Carol (Bob) Crist and Karen (Larry) Shenberger of Ashland, Ohio, Sheryle (Bernie) Wanner of Delta, Ohio, Darlene Dunlap and Arthur (Cindy) Dunlap of Perrysburg, Ohio and Allen (Jennifer) Dunlap of Sylvania, Ohio; stepchildren, Darwin Dunlap, Jim (Sherry) Kinzie, Jan (Len) Anderson and John (Karen) Kinzie. Shirley had 16 grandchildren and 18 great- grandchildren and 8 step-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Ashland Cemetery, 523 West Main Street, Ashland, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund, 28555 Starbright Boulevard, Perrysburg , Ohio 43551, whom we thank so very much for all they provided for our Mother and us during this time.
