Steve Vasvery, Jr

Steve Vasvery, Jr., age 77, of Delta, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Saturday morning, December 19th in his home, with his loving family at his bedside. He was born October 25, 1938 in Holgate, Ohio to the late Steve and Cleo (Kinder) Vasvery. On April 21, 1956, he married his loving wife, Joan Long.

Steve was a truck driver for over 25 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and trying his luck at the casinos. He also stayed fit by collecting stray golf balls.

Steve will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 59 years, Joan; children, Debra (Michael) Lauharn, Steven Vasvery (Deb), George Vasvery (Tracey), Shelley Vasvery (Tony) and Tina (John) Konczal; 8 grandchildren; 15 grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and his siblings, Deanna Landis, Don (Linda) Vasvery and Juanita (Warren) Hutchison.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents; infant son; and brother, Pete Vasvery.

Family and friends may visit Tuesday, December 22nd from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton (419.826.2631). Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 23rd at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Donna Stutzman officiating. Interment will follow at Westhope Cemetery in McClure.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the family choice.
