Thaddeus "Ted" William Wyrembek, age 70, of Swanton, Ohio, entered into eternal life Thursday afternoon, June 15, 2023, in his home, with his loving family at his bedside. Ted was born June 1, 1953 in Toledo, Ohio to Benjamin J. and Barbara C. (Penley) Wyrembek. Ted married Susan "Sue" Coates on June 17, 1972.
Ted retired in 2001 as an insulator. He was a member of Asbestos Workers Local #45. Ted also attended St. Richard Catholic Church in Swanton. He loved hunting and fishing.
Ted is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Sue; children, Amy (Brett) Chovan and Ben Wyrembek; grandchildren, Brandon Chovan, Teddy Wyrembek and Matthew Chovan; sister, Ann (Mikel - his hunting buddy) Pistilli; brother, Andrew Wyrembek; sister and brother-in-law, Vicki (Joe) Spenthoff; as well as many nieces and nephews; grand-nieces and nephews; and special travel buddies, Fud and Kathy Breau.
The family would like to thank all the doctors and their staff for the care they gave Ted. Special thank you to Dr. Susan Federman and the nurses and caregivers of Hospice Promedica.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marti Easterling; brother, Tony Wyrembek; mother and father-in-law, Marge and Cort Johnston.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 22nd from 3 to 7 pm at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton, where the Rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 23rd at 11:00 am in the funeral home, with Fr. Eric Culler presiding. Interment will follow at St. Richard Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Breath of Life Foundation - Care for people with mesothelioma, Swanton Christian Food Pantry or the American Cancer Society.
