Warren J. Roehrig, age 82, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away peacefully in his home, with his family at his bedside, Thursday morning, February 1, 2018, following a long illness. He was born August 30, 1935 in Toledo, Ohio to Glen and Dorothy (Kreuz) Roehrig. Warren grew up at Raab's Corner and attended Marygrove School. He graduated from Swanton High School in 1953 and served in the US Army from 1958-1960. On August 5, 1961, he married Donna Bernath.
Warren was a member of St. Richard Catholic Church, and worked at National Cement Products for over 38 years before retiring in 1991. He enjoyed going out to eat with family and friends and loved traveling. Warren and Donna were tour guides for Lakefront Tours for many years.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 56 years, Donna; daughter, Bethann (John) Childress; grandchildren, Jordan and Josh Childress; and sisters, Jeanette Ziehr and Joyce (Lynn) Aultman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Dwayne and Lois.
Visitation will be held Sunday, February 4th from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 204 Chestnut St. in Swanton. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated Monday, February 5th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Richard Catholic Church, 333 Brookside Dr. in Swanton. Interment will follow at Winameg Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family.
