William Weills

William "Bill" L. Weills, age 75, of Swanton, Ohio, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully in his  home Tuesday, January 29, 2019, with his loving family at his side. He was born September 28,  1943 in Toledo, Ohio to Charles L. "Buck" and Beatrice (Baker) Weills. On October 16, 1967, he married his longtime friend and companion, Faye L. Moore.  Bill  worked for Jeep for 30 years, retiring in 1998.

Bill was a member of the Masons, and enjoyed fishing, traveling and grocery shopping.  Bill simply loved being around people.  He faced many health issues the past 10 years; however he remained courageous through it all and fought to the very end.

Bill will be remembered for his big heart who took wonderful care of his family.  He will be greatly missed by his loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Faye; daughter, Cynthia Lynn Weiland; son, William Lee Weills; granddaughter, Rachel Victoria Weiland; sister, Marilou Turski; brother, Gary (Kathy) Weills and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Gerald, Eugene and Charles Weills.

Family and friends may visit Friday, February 1st from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton (419.826.2631). Services will be held Saturday, February 2nd at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment, with Military Rites, will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Grand Rapids, Ohio.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the caregivers, Kyli and Jessica and others from Ohio Living Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to Bill.
