Yvonne Seigneur

Yvonne Seigneur, age 84, of Lyons, Ohio, passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside, Friday afternoon, November 18, 2016, at Heartland of Waterville. She was born December 1, 1931 to Donald and Avis (Adam) Driskell. Yvonne was a 1949 graduate of Lyons high school, and on March 16, 1952, she married her beloved husband, Lyle Seigneur. Yvonne graduated from Indiana Business College in Elkhart, Indiana, and went on to work as a medical secretary for Dr. Siebold in Toledo.

She was a life-long member of the Lyons Christian Church, where she served as treasurer and church organist for many years. She was also a member of the Christian Women’s Fellowship. Besides being very active in her church, she was also very active in the Lyons community and served on the election board for several years.

Yvonne loved and cherished her family and will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 64 years, Lyle; son, Stephen Seigneur and daughter, Ann (Mark) Seigneur-Harris. She was loved adored by her grandchildren, Shelly (Spencer) Beckman, Nichole (Chris) Dale, Chantel (Rico) King, Jordan (Allyson) Harris and Brittany Harris; great-grandchildren, Kimberly Beckman, Kaya, Callie and Ryder King, and Aiden and Lilly Foreman and great-great grandchild, Skyler. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Sara; as well as her sister, Gail Barnes and many nieces and nephews.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents and son, Gary Seigneur.

Friends and family may visit Monday, November 21st from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 413 E. Main St. in Metamora (419.644.3601). Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at Lyons Christian Church, 138 E. Morenci St., Lyons, Ohio 43533, with Pastor Paul Bomeli officiating. Interment will follow at Lyons Cemetery.
